Sergeant Jerry Garcia

Sergeant Gerardo “Jerry” Garcia is a 1984 Pima Community College graduate with Associates degrees in Criminal Justice and Corrections. Sergeant Garcia began serving the University of Arizona in 1989 as a Police Officer. In 1994, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and became a K9 Dog Handler. Currently assigned to the Mt. Graham International Observatory, he continues to hold such positions as Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, Patrol Rifle Instructor, Armorer, and K9 Handler. In January, 2008, he graduated from Charter Oak State College with a Bachelors of Arts degree.
